I was having a conversation earlier in the trip with another traveller about this location and made the claim that Parma had the most beautiful baptistery in Italy. Surely it could not top the one in Florence? On re-visiting I stick to my original claim. It's perfectly proportioned octagonal shape in pink marble glows red with the setting sun. And the interior?
